Our
Core Values
Values are
those things that we consider to be of great worth. While we at
Cascade Community Church have many things that we consider valuable
or important, there are only three things that are eternal: God,
his Word, and people. Therefore, we hold these to be the most essential
core values:
We

…glorifying God in our personal
lives and our church.
…building our church and lives
upon the written Word of God.
…leading
people to faith and
maturity in Christ.
Scripture tells
us, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it
all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Glorifying
God is the chief end of man. Can anything else in life be more important?
“All
Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God
may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy
3:16-17). A life based on the principles of the Bible will be pleasing
to God and fruitful in his service.
God loves
people (John 3:16), and desires that every person might be saved
by trusting Christ (1 Timothy 2:4), and then grow in their relationship
to him (Ephesians 4:11-13).
We hope
that every person in this church can understand and embrace these
basic core values. Everything else that we may count of value can
be understood as an extension of these three core values.
